Tommy Nelson is the coordinator of leadership training for the CGN Institute. Born in Concord, New Hampshire and raised in Rhode Island, he has lived in Latin America for over 50 years. A respected teacher, trainer & student of leadership development focusing on business, education & church spheres, he was a missionary in Latin America for 30 years and transitioned to becoming an executive coach & corporate trainer for the last 20.
His ministerial and professional focus has always been leadership training, being certified in several leadership programs such as James Hunter (“The Servant”), Bill George (Authentic Leadership), John Maxwell, Global Leadership Summit. He was trained as a coach at Lifeforming Leadership Coaching in Virginia Beach, Virginia and certified as a coach trainer.
He was recently certified as a corporate Reinvention Practitioner by the Reinvention Academy. He currently teaches courses on personal (LifePlan) and corporate leadership and reinvention, focusing on the succession process, both for companies and churches.
He currently resides in São Paulo, Brazil.
